Why I started to write a blog about going to Australia
–
So it is just under 5 weeks till I fly out from London to Sydney, with a 6 hour layover in Kuala Lumper. I’ve got almost everything sorted – my passport, my flight out, my trains booked, my backpack prepped, my visa, my Australia bank account, my savings, and handed in my resignation.
Sydney is my go-to, because it’s a genuinely fun-looking city with so much to do, and easy links all around the country. After spending a couple of weeks there, I hope to have some form of work lined up helping the country itself recover from the awful bushfires that ravished the country over the past 3 months.

So, why am I writing this blog?.

There doesn’t seem to be a definitive way to prepare for what comes next, and that’s what makes it such an exciting adventure. No matter how many Reddit posts I browse through, or how much advice I gain from friends who have been or are currently there, I just know I will feel like I did the first time I left home the first time – shit scared, but happy.
And I want to document this life experience – so my friends and family know I’m safe and happy, they can see and read about the experiences I’m having, and personally I want to have something to read back over years down the line.

By blogging my good days and bad days, my best and worst expeirences, and the entire road I end up traveling down, I want to have something I can use to inspire other people as well as show that it isn’t all as easygoing and glamarous as we’re led to believe/
